The ERIMIS Family Therapy and Systemic Practice is directed by DANA REM , psychologist, system family therapist i.s., and social scientist with 32 years of experience in psychological counselling, migration research, forensic psychology, and academic teaching.
Dana has worked extensively in both Eastern Europe and the Netherlands. She has developed a broad mindset through her academic work in various settings, applying knowledge from cultural psychology, discourse analysis, migration policy analysis, and the sociology of social problems. Her roles have spanned academia, organizational management, and policy-making, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
As psychologist and system therapist, Dana founded the Family Therapy and Systemic Practice, as independent healthcare unit and new branch of ERIMIS.The Family Therapy and Systemic Practice was born as a natural consequences of Dana’s professional development and expertise and as a collaborative necessity to support migrants and expats in the context of globalization and the migration crisis .
In her practice Dana supports individuals, couples, and families facing developmental challenges, using methods like System Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Marital Therapy (Emotional Focus Therapy/Gottman), Transactional Analysis, Mentalization Based Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She offers psychological counselling and systemic therapy to migrants, students and expats based in the Netherlands or living abroad and members of the Romanian diaspora’s.
