Credentials

As a former lecturer and teaching staff member in higher education in the Netherlands, your therapist is familiar with the psychological pressures that international students face, once they must make efforts to adapt to a new country, culturally different from their place of origin.  These pressures, together with requirements to accommodate to high and different academic standards, can become sources of psychological distress and discouragement.

In her former work as a teacher, Dana Rem assisted international students in the Netherlands in reaching their learning goals efficiently and time wise, at the same time going for high-quality work and effectiveness, through which they could prioritise their actions and create room for relaxation and fun.

You find in Dana an informed professional with academic knowledge, a highly skilled psychologist and systemic therapist,  who can guide you gently into reaching your maximum potential, learning new strategies of coping with the work pressure and integrating all new experiences into a manageable frame of thought and actions.

We offer, both in our practice office in Den Haag and on line – psychological counselling and consultation to BA, MA and PhD international students (including also Romanian students) studying in The Netherlands or abroad, who are facing difficulties in their process of accommodation to their new place of studying and living.
